Overview:
For
over a decade, Insight Investigations has provided leading corporate
legal and insurance organizations with discreet, professional
investigative services.
The company headquarters are in Phoenix, Arizona, with satellite offices
in Albuquerque, New Mexico; Irvine, California; Las Vegas,
Nevada and Denver, Colorado.
Insight
Investigations is strongly committed to using the most sophisticated state-of-the-art technology in all
aspects of our investigations, from initial data gathering through final reporting.
This
technology has effectively distanced us from our gumshoe competitors, clearly positioning
Insight as an
industry leader.
Surveillance
in the Age of Technology:
Having
grown up in the age of wireless communications and Internet
access, the firm’s employees are early adopters of new technology and
will continue to incorporate new technological advances into the
business. Many of our
competitors continue to use techniques that can best be described as
prehistoric. By
hiring young, energetic people who have been raised with computers, we’re
using technology for all it’s worth to change the very nature of the
business. In the future, all business will be Internet business, and we’re
leading the way.
Currently,
all communication between field investigators and the company headquarters is electronic, via e-mail and digital
'Nextel' radio. Investigators are armed with professional digital video
equip (camcorders, spy cams) and communications (laptop computers)
technology. Final client reports contain both text and video snapshots
of claimants, and soon, streaming video will replace videotape cassettes
to make complete videotaped results available to clients over the
Internet.
According
to the Fraud Defense Network (www.fdn.com)
cheaters defraud American insurers out of $50 billion annually, or $9.00
per day, per employee.
A large percentage of this amount is attributable to losses from
able-bodied workers who illegally collect worker compensation. They also
found that money spent on investigations yielded an average return on
investment of $9.24 to $15.90 per dollar spent, depending on the case
type. After facilities and
payroll, worker compensation insurance is one of the highest expenses
incurred by any business. The
impact of increased premiums due to fraud can affect any company’s
financial condition, inhibiting growth plans and occasionally
threatening the organization’s very existence.
By helping keep premiums in check, Insight provides a valuable
service to businesses and consumers.
